My neighbor’s cat always come over to my flower bed and does its duties on the soil and cover it up. It’s freaking driving me nuts with the smell when I garden and I ended up cleaning up the poop. I tried spraying water at the cat when its around, and its still coming back…ggrrrr. What are some non-lethal cat repellent that I can use to keep it away or what can I do with my flower bed to keep it away? Thanks.

We recently found a stray cat. She has been fine for a few months, but we recently got her declawed and all of a sudden she started pooping and peeing on the floor. It is not by the litterbox, not even on the same floor as the litterbox. What should i do? When i find it, I put her face in it and smack her and spray cat repellent on it, but NOTHING seems to work. HELP!
She has been declawed for 2 months or so.
And she was neutered at the same time.

My cat is an obsessive couch scratcher. I’ve tried a scratch repellent spray, I bought him a scratching post and he won’t even use it. Nothing’s worked so far. He just keeps doing it. I would really be open to any ideas you might have, he’s starting to ruin my furniture.
I tried to softpaws too when he was a baby, but now that he’s bigger, it’s almost impossible to hold him down to put them on or to clip his claws. Even with two people. He screams like we’re torturing him.

I am also scared that she might fall off the stairs or fall directly from the second floor to the first while playing. I know that cats are usually cautious in such things but still do I need to use a cat repellent spray to keep her from the edges?

I have a 1 1/2 year old cat who is the most lovable cat I have ever seen. But lately she has been acting up and being more aggressive. Every single night lately she will jump onto my night stand and meow a long meow right in my face, waking me up. This continues all night long, each time I shoo her away and she runs.

I decided to try closing my bedroom door at night to keep her out, but instead she claws and scratches at the door ALL night long, waking me up all night long. How can I stop this madness!?!

P.S. She gets PLENTY of love and affection, and is soiled rotten with toys and huts and all kinds of crap my wife "has to have". Also I picked up a bottle of "Boundary" cat repellent spray and sprayed it on my closed door before I went to bed, and she still scratched the door like mad! Please help!!

A little background on the cat: She’s about 14 weeks old, I found her when she was about 8 weeks old, abandoned in a box. She’s a solo cat who seems to be pretty happy in my house, and yes, she’s spoiled rotten.

Ok, I’ll admit it, I’m no cat expert. In fact, the kitten I have now is the only cat I’ve ever owned. So, this thing she does is a total mystery to me.

First of all, my cat does that "kneading" thing. I looked it up online, and there’s apparently millions of cats that do this. They take their paws, alternating right and left, and sort of go back and forth sort of massaging an area. I’ve trimmed her nails, so I can handle that. I looked up the "cat psychology" on this, and apparently, this is supposed to mean it’s a happy cat. Sure, I have a happy cat….. but it’s got this especially neurotic thing it does WHILE it’s doing this. It CHEWS, too. So, it sounds like this fast passed ticking clock while it’s pawing and chewing on me. It’s kneads and chews at the same time. WTH?

It doesn’t just chew and knead on anything, oh no, my cat is way to picky for that, she only does it to my bathrobe. It’s gross. I put her down, she jumps back up, I put her down, she jumps back up, I put her down… I think you get it. If I let her do it, I end up with this huge cat drool puddle on my robe. If I don’t let her do it, she (you guessed it.. jumps back up) The more I try to get her to stop, the more insistent she gets about it.

She wont do it unless I’m wearing the bathrobe. If it’s just laying on the bed, she ignores it. If I have on regular clothes, she couldn’t be bothered. I put the bathrobe on my daughter to see if she would do it to her… nope. Just me. I’ve washed the thing in all different kinds of detergent hoping that would stop her. Nope. I even sprayed it with this cat repellent spray I got at the pet store (it’s supposed to be for furniture).

Now, I haven’t seen any other cat chew and do the hand thing at the same time. I’ve looked on youtube, I’ve asked other cat owners that I know. I think she’s the only one. Either way, it’s driving me NUTS! In fact, she’s doing it right now and I’m about ready to get the cat a muzzle.

My big questions are:
1.Is this normal?
2. Will she grow out of it
3. How do I get her to stop?
These are ALL great answers, and I thank you for your help. I’m not sure who to pick for a "best", so I’m going to put it to a vote. Thanks again everyone!

A cat in the neighbourhood is using my front lawn as its litter !!! The owner of the cat doesnt seem to have provided one ! I’ve tried Pellets ,Sprays and even paprika !!!! ( ….and i’m supposed to be an animal lover !!!). Its driving me up the wall everytime i have to clean up after it – which is a gagging nightmare after it rains. It would be great to have a clean lawn and not be cleaning up after other peoples pet….

My cat is often playing around the toys of the children, to avoid that we bought cat repellent which we sprayed all around and on… But now the cat is even more attracted to the toys, and acts as if there was catnip on it! He was born the 25th of january (2009) and so is soon 3 months
For bellow answer: I tried some fruits (Including the one you stated) but he tried to eat them on the contrary! He eats anything if we dont avoid it in time, The other day we were eating sushi when we were surprised.. He likes wasabi!

I keep spraying him with water and he’s back at it in 5 minutes. I need a repellent. Preferrably something dry that doesn’t have to be applied often, and won’t smell the place up. Something carpet friendly.
