What are some ways to repel a cat from leaving paw prints on the car?

I have a cat living in my garage. I get frustrated when I see the paw prints all over the car after a car wash. I remember seeing something like puma urine to repel cats from sprayed area, I do not know how well it works does anybody know how effect it will be?
