cat repellent spray

My cat is an obsessive couch scratcher. I’ve tried a scratch repellent spray, I bought him a scratching post and he won’t even use it. Nothing’s worked so far. He just keeps doing it. I would really be open to any ideas you might have, he’s starting to ruin my furniture.
I tried to softpaws too when he was a baby, but now that he’s bigger, it’s almost impossible to hold him down to put them on or to clip his claws. Even with two people. He screams like we’re torturing him.

my cat likes to scratch the sides of my couch and chair. is there anything i could do that would make her stop?
she has a scratching post, but she still scratches the couch sometimes.

When my female cat gets annoyed or angry (because I won’t let her go outdoors) she sprays under the bed, or on the couch, etc. I’ve tried Feliway, cat repellent, and everything else Pet stores have to offer. I can’t usually catch her doing it but when I do, then I spray her with water, which she hates. Alyce

She peed on the old one because she was feeling unwell. I know cats will repeatedly use the same spot they used if they smell themselves on it… So now that this old couch will be going, how can I prevent her from choosing to pee on this new one? Is there anything I can spray that will keep her from doing so again?
She is highly asthmatic, so I wouldn’t want her to be exposed to anything which releases a fine aspirate…
Peppermint or citrus any use?

I’m having animal-on-furniture issues and was wanting to know what I could use to repel them off the furniture. I’m open to any suggestions. It’s hard to catch the dog on the couch but I know he jumps up there cuz the pillows are not in the same place.

One of my two cats kept peeing and pooping on the carpet under my couch and I already cleaned out the spots with Nature’s Miracle Advanced for Cats and use strong UV light to find pee spots. I want him to stay out of underneath of my couch so what kind of cat repellent spray works better and lasts long?
I’m asking what’s the best brand of cat repellent spray not for advice. Both of his boxes are hidden in closet
