One day after buying the GH1, I made this shot of a cat with the Leica Summicron (sounds like a transformer, but it’s actually a lens). Importing the video was easy with Final Cut Pro, which converted it to ProRes format. Then I did a little image adjustment in Apple Color. And here it is: It was hard for me to keep the shot in focus. Not only was it hand-held, I was also trying to repel an army of mosquitoes that was coming for my legs. Since the GH1 shoots in 60P, I could slow down the video 50%, which softens the camera shaking somewhat.
