Problem skunks in the wild that are effecting the household can be dealt with using Have-a-Heart traps for relocation or organic repellents that are sprinkled around the yard. Hi. What is not mentioned is, after the skunk has been trapped in the Havahart, how to transport and release the animal without being sprayed in the process.

lindsey, just change the type of garbage can you use. It has to be large, square and heavy. You can get some of those with wheels.
A dog, cat or racoon can get in the same type of trash container you are using if a skunk can.

how exactly do you transport a skunk in a trap? As soon as you try to move the trap it sprays. Not very well thought out advice.
Problem skunk? Would it set me a sudoku to do on the train in the morning?
@DitchFlicks she mentioned something about the skunk being dehydrated. maybe in this state the skunk won’t spray?
I think a 12 guage works best on a skunk and a .22 for the childens.
